The Isle of Man qualified for the World Cup of Short Mat Bowls which was played last August in Bromsgrove. The Isle of Man team was Stephen Gale, Jayne Smith, Michael Collister & Steve Durcan. After being drawn against favourites Ireland and Wales the Isle of Man put in a fine performance beating Wales 4.5-1.5 before going down 6-0 to Ireland to narrowly miss out on qualifying for the semi-finals. Sweden were crowned the winners after a superb fightback against England in the final.

In 2016 the Isle of Man will be participating at the World Short Mat Bowls Council Championships in Leigh, England on the 18th – 20th March 2016.
