Stephen Gale & Steve Durcan both recorded 2 wins on the opening night of the new Singles League, taking place at Morton Hall.

Gale got off to a slow start but recovered to beat Christine Holland 12-3 before a similar game against Harry Minor, eventually winning 11-8.

Durcan beat Collin Holland in an entertaining 9-5 victory, then overcame Jayne Smith 9-5 to keep his early winning streak intact.

Harry Minor won his opening game 14-5 against Sheila Durcan, who also succumbed 10-7 to Christine Holland. Jayne Smith picked up a win with a 13-7 victory over Seamus Whelan, while Whelan recovered in the final match to beat Collin Holland 9-6.
