Chris Holland & Dave McCabe fought back to claim the MSMBA 2 Bowl Pairs title after a dramatic last end saw them take 3 shots to win by 1 over Seamus Whelan & Collin Holland.

Holland & McCabe started the day with a comfortable 22-3 victory over John Garrett & Percy Faragher while Whelan & Holland beat Michael Collister & Stephen Gale 12-7. Archie & Wyn Collister also went through thanks to an 8-5 victory over Patrick Grant & Tony Quine while Steve & Bernie Durcan needed an extra end to beat Stephen Bradley & Ali Millard.

The semi-finals proved fairly straight-forward for Holland & McCabe, beating the Collisters 20-4. Whelan & Holland had a hard fought 13-7 victory over the Durcans.

The final saw some big scoring early on as Holland & McCabe stretched out to a 7-3 lead before Whelan & Holland hit their stride and went 10-8 up with four ends to play. The next two ends saw singles for each side and on the penultimate end Whelan & Holland were 3 ahead. Another single for Holland & McCabe saw them give themselves a chance which they grabbed with both hands as McCabe drew in to claim a 3 on the last end to take the title.
