Harry Minor & Stephen Gale won the MSMBA 2 Bowl Pairs title at the NSC last Sunday after an 18-2 win over Ali Millard & Tony Quine.

The eventual winners started with a tricky tie against Chris Holland & Steve Durcan and after a slow start came through 11-7. Meanwhile Ali Millard & Tony Quine beat club mates Maurice O’Reilly & Richard Faragher 15-2. Seamus Whelan & Collin Holland came through 18-3 against Stephen Bradley & James Teare while Josh Ffrench & Jayne Smith beat Sheila & Bernie Durcan 8-3.

The semi-finals saw Minor & Gale up against Ffrench & Smith and thanks to a fast start they booked their place in the final with a 14-4 victory. The other semi-final saw Millard & Quine beat Holland & Whelan 16-1 thanks to some superb leading from Ali Millard.

The final saw another fast start from Minor & Gale, picking up a couple of threes to lead 9-2 at the half-way stage. After that they controlled the game nicely to run out 18-2 victors.
