Stephen Gale successfully defended his MSMBA Singles title last Sunday at the NSC with a 10-5 victory over Tony Quine.

Gale got off to a great start, picking up a 3 on the opening end but Quine took singles on the next two ends to keep himself in touch. Gale however took 5 shots over the next couple of ends to stretch his lead to 8-2 and despite getting back to within 3 shots, another single on the penultimate end leaving Quine needing 4 to tie, unfortunately for him Gale picked up another single to finish 10-5 and to take the title. While it was Quine’s first final, this is now Gale’s 4th successive title and 7th overall in the singles.

That is it for the season not, however the Isle of Man will be welcoming bowlers from Essex & Kent over on the 28th April for a friendly competition.
