Douglas Bay Pirates wrapped up the Cherry Orchard League last Sunday at the NSC, beating Laxey Minors 5-2 and finishing 6 points clear of Ronaldsway Blockbusters in 2nd place.

Georgina Moore, standing in for Jayne Smith, Josh Ffrench & Stephen Gale won the opening game of triples 7-2 which secured the title. Gale then added the singles with a 12-6 victory. David Cottier & Clare Hussain took the pairs for the Minors which moved them off the bottom of the table into 5th place.

Ronaldsway Blockbusters finished with a 6-1 victory over Colby Jacks. Archie Collister, Wyn Collister & Collin Holland took the triples 19-1. Chris Holland & Sylvia Maddrell drew the singles 8-8 and Wyn Collister & Chris Holland completed the win with a 19-3 victory in the pairs.

Ballaugh managed to overtake Colby Cosmos in the league after beating them 7-0 in the final game of the season. Ann Gale & Dave McTaggart won their pairs 12-9 and Richard Faragher added the singles with a 12-6 victory before they won 6-5 in the triples to complete the day.
