Tony Quine, Collin Holland & Clare Hussain won the final of the drawn triples competition last Sunday at the NSC beating Seamus Whelan, Ali Millard & Bernie Durcan 6-5.

It was a tight final with Durcan’s team edging the first couple of ends before Hussain’s triple got into their stride winning four ends in a row to lead 6-2. Durcan’s team got a vital 2 on the penultimate end to trail by one. However on the final end it looked like Hussain’s team had the match sewn up but a brilliant shot by Durcan left his bowl resting on the jack, unfortunately it was also touching Hussain’s bowl resulting in a no-scoring end and a 6-5 victory to Quine, Holland & Hussain.
