Collin Holland won the 2 bowl singles at the NSC last Sunday after beating Ann Hollingworth 17-3 in the final.

Collin Holland started the day with an 11-4 over Barry Bell in the first round. Ann Hollingworth came through 10-8 in her first round match against Matt Quayle. Elsewhere in the first round Eddie Brew had an impressive 13-4 win against Richard Faragher, Josh Ffrench won 11-5 against Dave McTaggart. James Teare won 12-6 against Doreen Bell, David Cottier beat Darrell Allcote 14-4, Stephen Gale beat Chris Holland 11-8 and Jayne Smith came through on the last end 10-9 against Seamus Whelan.
The quarter-finals saw Collin Holland play Stephen Gale. Holland raced into a 5-0 and then an 8-3 lead but Gale fought back well but Holland held on for a 9-8 victory. Ann Hollingworth came through 13-3 against James Teare. Eddie Brew continued his impressive form with a 9-5 win over Josh Ffrench while Jayne Smith came through on the last end again, this time beating David Cottier 7-6.
Coll Holland had an easier time in the semi-finals, leading 5-0 after 4 ends he never looked in trouble and ran out 10-6 against Jayne Smith. The other semi-final saw Ann Hollingworth take an early 3-0 lead against Eddie Brew but he never let Hollingworth get out of sight and staged a dramatic comeback in the final two ends, scoring 4 to level the game and force an extra end, however it was Hollingworth who kept calm to take her through to the final.
The final was more of a one sided game with Holland racing away to a 9-1 lead at the half way point, with Hollingworth needing to make up points she tried to force the ends in her favour but Holland played well throughout to come away with a 17-3 win.
