Ronaldsway Blockbusters won all 3 games against Ballaugh. Archie & Wyn Collister opened up with 16 – 5 in the Doubles. Collin Holland took the Singles 12 – 3, finally Collin, Wyn and Chris Holland finished with 11 – 3 in the Triples.
Ann Hollingworth, Rita Woodworth & Pauline Kelly successfully defended their Triples title in style, beating Jayne Smith, Josh Ffrench & Stephen Gale 7-5 in the final.
The first game of the Freeway Express Championship saw Ronaldsway Rockets move to the top of the table with last years winners Rushen coming through a tough battle to win their opening game 9-8.
Ronaldsway Blockbusters & Douglas Bay Pirates were the big winners on the opening day of the Cherry Orchard League in the Manx Short Mat Bowls League.
