Last Sunday saw all three games in the Cherry Orchard League decided by the bonus point  with Ballaugh maintaining their impressive form this season, remaining in second place after a 4-3 victory over Ramsey Rebels.

Ann Gale & Dave McTaggart got Ballaugh off to a flyer bu winning their pairs 16-6. Richard Faragher then drew his singles match 7-7 with the Ramsey’s John Jauncey before Jauncey teaming up with Jill Quayle & Moira Anderson took the triples 9-2, however thanks to the early win in the pairs for Ballaugh, they took the bonus point 25-22.

Laxey Minors stayed in third place after a 4-3 win over Ronaldsway Blockbusters. David Cottier & Peter Coward won the pairs 13-4 for the Minors but Chris Holland leveled the game with a 10-9 victory in the singles. The triples was drawn 8-8 meaning that the Minors won the game with the bonus point 30-21.

The final game of the day say Castletown Super Threes beat Colby Cosmos 4-3. Matt Quayle & Peter Blower took the pairs for Castletown 11-7. Sylvia Maddrell then drew her singles 10-10 with Pauline Kelly. The triples saw Kelly, with Ann Hollingworth & Rita Woodworth come out 6-5 victors but it wasn’t enough to take the bonus point, which Castletown won 26-23.
