Michael Collister & Stephen Gale kept their 100% record going with three more victories in the Peter Coward Pairs League to move 5 points clear with just three more games to play.

The pair started off with a hard fought 8-6 victory over impressive newcomers Patrick Grant & Dave McCabe before dispatching Archie & Wyn Collister 14-5. The final game of the day them beat Richard Faragher & Tony Quine 16-7.

Clare Hussain & Chris Holland moves into second place after drawing their opening game 8-8 with Archie & Wyn Collister. They then beat defending champions Bernie & Steve Durcan 10-8 and finished off with a 9-5 victory over Seamus Whelan & Collin Holland.

Bernie & Steve Durcan found the going tough, recording only one win, a 12-8 victory over Patrick Grant & Dave McCabe which sees them drop to third while Whelan & Holland are in 4th. At the other end of the table Sheila Durcan & Ali Millard recorded their first win to move ahead of James Teare & Stephen Bradley.

With the Bowls Hall at the NSC closing again for 3 weeks the final games of the Peter Coward Pairs League will be played on the 20th November. Next week players are invited to Ballaugh Bowls Club at 12pm for an Open Competition which will see players drawn with their playing partners.
