Michael Collister & Stephen Gale wrapped up the title in the Peter Coward Pairs League after winning all three of their final games at the NSC last Sunday.

They started against their closest rivals Ann Hollingworth & Sylvia Maddrell who took an early lead but Collister & Gale slowly came back into it to seal an 11-6 win. They went into the next game against Ann Gale & Wyn Collister who was standing in for Dave McTaggart they knowing a win would seal the title. They started emphatically racing to an early lead and finished 24-3 winners to guarantee the title. The champions faced a difficult last game against Bernie & Steven Durcan but eventually came through 10-9 winners with the final bowl of the game.

Georgina Moore & Josh Ffrench won all their games to move into second place. They beat Seamus Whelan & Collin Holland 17-8 before an 11-8 win against Matt Quayle & David Cottier and completed the day beating James Teare & Harry Minor 11-8 to finish second.

Seamus Whelan & Collin Holland finished third despite that defeat to Moore & Ffrench as they beat Eddie Brew & Chris Holland 15-9. Brew & Holland settled for fourth place as they beat Matt Quayle & David Cottier 10-7 in the final game.
