Ronaldsway Rockets stayed top of the table in the Cherry Orchard League last Sunday with an impressive 5-2 win over Ramsey Rebels. Douglas Bay Pirates remained their closest challengers, also winning 5-2 over Castletown Super Threes.
Ronaldsway Rockets continued their good start to the season with a 9-8 win over Rushen in the Freeway Express Championship, while Ramsey Rebels beat Castletown Rockets 11-6 in their match.
Ronaldsway Blockbusters won all 3 games against Ballaugh. Archie & Wyn Collister opened up with 16 – 5 in the Doubles. Collin Holland took the Singles 12 – 3, finally Collin, Wyn and Chris Holland finished with 11 – 3 in the Triples.
Ann Hollingworth, Rita Woodworth & Pauline Kelly successfully defended their Triples title in style, beating Jayne Smith, Josh Ffrench & Stephen Gale 7-5 in the final.
The first game of the Freeway Express Championship saw Ronaldsway Rockets move to the top of the table with last years winners Rushen coming through a tough battle to win their opening game 9-8.
